Etiquette & expectations.

How we work together: the standards that keep every session safe, professional, and focused.

01: Professional presence

Arrive ready, and read the room.

Be prepared and on time, and stay aware of the group's energy and pacing.

Work collaboratively with the session facilitator.

02: Posing

Clear, stable, sustainable.

Hold poses you can sustain, and say so if one needs to be adjusted or ended.

Breaks are expected, and necessary.

03: Boundaries

Your boundaries are absolute.

You are never required to accept direction from artists, and may decline any request or suggestion.

Your comfort and safety come first, always.

04: Communication

Say what you need.

Notify the organizer in advance of any needs, limits, or concerns.

Speak up immediately if something feels off during a session.

05: Wardrobe

Handle the studio with care.

If using studio wardrobe or personal items, treat them with care.

Return everything in the condition received.

06: Holding the space

You set the session's centre.

Your stillness, focus, and presence shape the room. You are not performing.

You are holding a space for looking.

Model coaching.

Why private coaching?

NOOD is not a typical drawing space. We take model work seriously: how you're treated, how you're paid, and how you're prepared. For those new to life modelling, we offer private one-on-one coaching that takes you from first steps to working professional.

The coaching is specific: pose technique, industry knowledge, real session shadowing, and portfolio development using drawings made of you during the programme. When you complete it, we make introductions, to studios, organizers, and the wider life-drawing community.

Payment: E-transfer registration fees to [email protected].
