First Time Drawing a Live Model

You will be drawing a nude model and therefore all artists must be 19+. We do offer draped/costumed sessions open to all ages.

Arrive 15 minutes early to get set up.

If you requested a pose and it’s not exactly what you want, kindly let the model know by describing or demonstrating the adjustment. Do not touch the model. If the model declines the pose or adjustment, respect their decision, they may have limitations that we are unaware of.

Never expect unrealistic or dangerous poses from the model.

Allow the model to break their pose whenever they feel is necessary.

Do not sit, stand, or place items on the model stand, which are often lined with towels/linens for hygiene purposes.

Ask for permission before touching the model’s personal items.

Keep conversations to a minimum or wait until break.

Do not photograph or film the model.
